New Jersey Support Group provides a cultural medium for all identifying as transgender, transsexual, or crossdresser in New Jersey and East Pennsylvania through which we can give and receive support by sharing our diverse life experiences as gifted individuals. To help our brothers and sisters to recognize and derive strength from the common bond that we share and to further the ongoing success of the transgender community in achieving a greater level of acceptance from main stream society as a whole.
We are a nonprofit support group open to all transgender individuals, their spouses, significant others, family, and friends. Our membership is diverse, with individuals identifying as transgender, transsexual, crossdresser, F2M, M2F, and gender queer.
Our immediate focus is on providing a relaxed, noncompetitive, informal, and safe atmosphere for any or all members of the transgender community regardless of their age, race, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation to socialize, exchange ideas and information, and to provide and receive emotional support.
To attend a meeting, please use our contact form. Our meetings are held on the first Saturday of the month, excluding May and December, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM in Washington’s Crossing New Jersey. Doors generally open around 5:00 PM. First time contacts, please tell us about yourself and why you are looking for a support group.
The support group provides food and refreshments at each meeting and generally a discussion related to transgender issues. Here you can share your feelings and talk to others like yourself. Please arrive by 5:00 PM if you need to change at the meeting.
