Newsletter - August 2009

Our August 1, 2009 meeting marks the groups 13^th anniversary.  South Jersey Renaissance was reconstituted as the New Jersey Support Group and held its first meeting at Washington Crossing on August 3, 1996.

The August meeting was also our annual election of New Jersey Support Group officers. The election results are as follows:

President:             Leah Edwards
Vice President:      Lori Henry
Secretary:             Kara Mitchell
Treasurer:             Ronnie Dougherty

As always, food and refreshments were served with a few additional treats provided by the members. The group welcomed one new member this evening. An open forum discussion group was held after the general meeting and announcements for interested members. The remaining members relaxed and socialized in main meeting room.

The New Jersey Support group's Holiday Party  is scheduled for December 5, 2009 from 8:00 - 10:30 PM at The Nevermore in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The cost, which includes taxes and gratuities, will be $32 per person and will include salad or soup and a choice of three entrees.

Our regular pre meeting social  is scheduled at the Raven in New Hope, Pennsylvania on Saturday September 5, 2009. No reservations are required. Soda and drinks as well as light meals are available at the bar. You may arrive at any time, however 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM is ideal to get a parking place and enjoy a few hours before departing to the meeting about 20 minutes away.

Our next scheduled meeting is Saturday September 5, 2009. Due to an event at the church, this meeting will be held in their downstairs facilities. Please enter at the side door of the church rather than the front door. This will be primarily a social meeting with no formal program or speaker scheduled. An open forum discussion group will also be held for members interested in a focused round table venue.
