As a result of discussions at the Sigma Nu Rho meeting on November 24, 2007 (and many members of the New Jersey Support Group, Inc. belong to SNR), we should be able to have turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, salad, rolls, pies, even hors d-oeuvres at the buffet on December 1. Due to the fact that we will be using the meeting site of another support group (guess which), we cannot disclose the location on a website, this or any other. The charge per person will be $20.00 (everybody). A changing room will be provided, though there is a sizable rest room in the premises we are renting. There is a bar elsewhere in the facility. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will be provided. Alcoholic beverages purchased at the bar will be separately at the diner's own expense. I intend to arrive at 5:00 p.m. but dinner will get rolling at about 8:00 p.m. I finally received the advice and help I asked for, and I believe I have found a reasonably priced catering service after searching vainly in the wrong places. I thank Robin for her assistance. Nonetheless, we need to hear from you as follows:

a) We are preparing for 20 diners. If more than this number appear, we will order out pizza or other take out food for additional diners UNLESS we hear in time that more than 20 are coming. Let us know if you are coming by contacting me at links in this website, or leaving a voice mail message at the Support Group number, 206 600-7860, or by calling me at 856 547-5203. Any message posted on 206-600-7860 will reach both the webmistress and myself. If more people than expected show up we will still charge $20.00 per person as we will be providing a full meal, as distinct from regular meetings. If you do call, please let us know of any special dietary needs you may have (e.g. vegetarian diet).

b) Not being able to announce the location I fear may make it difficult to attract diners. Hopefully our Secretary, Judy Woods, will soon send out a notice indicating the site and where to call if you have questions. But if you cannot wait, contact me.

Due to the pressure of work and other issues, I cannot update the Calendar of Entertainment Events in the full detail I would like. So here is a temporary update:

December 1, 2007: 1) Buffet of New Jersey Support Group, Inc. at unmentionable site (now that makes it more in character). 2) Banquet of the Renaissance Transgender Association. For information, contact

December 8, 2007: 1) Endless Mountains Girls will hold a December meeting. Contact Alice Hardenburg at the website listed elsewhere in the calendar. 2) A group of Support Group members will be going to Rainbow Mountain. Please leave a voice mail message at 206-600-7860 for further information.

December 15, 2007. 1) Sigma Nu Rho banquet at the National Hotel in Frenchtown, NJ. For more information, please contact Vice President Pat directly or send inquiries to me for forwarding to her. 2) Also, there is a second Ladies Night Out distinct from the familiar Ladies Night Out hosted by member Emily Platt. I shall distinguish between Eastern and Western Ladies Nights Out. Thus the Eastern Ladies Night Out, hosted by Katie Paladine, will hold a Holiday Party at Goodfellas, 600 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755, 732-341-9500 from 7:30 pm to 1:30 am. B.Y.O.B. Toys for Tots collection. Dinner menu from 5 pm to 11 pm. Dance music and karaoke. Contact Katie at or 732-771-7731 or Kimm Jacoby at or 732-929-3291.

December 22, 2007: The Western Ladies Night Out, the one familiar to us over here on the Delaware River side of New Jersey (maybe we should distinguish between the Oceanside and Riverside Ladies Nights Out), had planned a banquet at the Sergeantsville Inn in Sergeantsville, NJ. The status of this banquet is unclear. Contact Emily Platt at the e-mail address listed elsewhere in the Calendar.

December 29, 2007: There may be a Dinner and a Movie. Contact Vice President Pat.

If any other groups wish to have their functions listed here, please contact me. I am posting this both as a flash update in Newsletters and in the Calendar for Entertainment Events.
