Mission Statement
New Jersey Support Group provides a cultural medium for all identifying as transgender, transsexual, or crossdresser in New Jersey and East Pennsylvania through which we can give and receive support by sharing our diverse life experiences as gifted individuals. To help our brothers and sisters to recognize and derive strength from the common bond that we share and to further the ongoing success of the transgender community in achieving a greater level of acceptance from main stream society as a whole.
Who We Are
We are a nonprofit support group open to all transgender persons, their spouses, significant others, or friends. We encourage the attendance of professionals in all fields, or any person who may want to learn about the transgender individual, our community, lifestyle, challenges, and goals.
Objective
Our immediate focus is on providing a relaxed, noncompetitive, informal, and safe atmosphere for any or all members of the transgender community regardless of their age, race, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation to socialize, exchange ideas and information, and to provide and receive emotional support.
